Lange habe ich überlegt, was ich von der Serie umsetzen möchte. Zuallerletzt fiel meine Entscheidung auf das Städtchen Wood(en)bury (Senoia) in Georgia, das in der 3. und 4. Staffel der TV Serie unter dem Governor die Hauptrolle spielte.
Gerade der Kontrast zwischen der von Zombies überrannten Außenwelt und dem friedvollen, sauberen Straßenzug hat es mir angetan.
An der Geschichte habe ich einiges verändert, da in der Serie zwar Wood(en)bury von Zombie’s übermannt wurde, das aber nie ausgiebig gezeigt wurde.
